Our Projects in 2024-2025

We are focused on expanding underwater cleanups, ecological monitoring, and youth engagement initiatives across the Caspian region. Through these efforts, we combined environmental action with education, empowering young people to take responsibility for protecting our seas.

September 2025

Second Cleanup Initiative at Qaranohur Gölü

Eco Diving Youth Center volunteers carried out a cleanup at Qaranohur Gölü, clearing waste from the lake’s surroundings to safeguard its natural beauty and ecosystem.

  • Location: Qaranohur Gölü, Ismayilli region
  • Activities: Volunteers gathered plastic and other litter from the lake area, supporting efforts to keep this popular natural destination clean and sustainable.
  • Impact: More than 45 kg of waste was removed, helping to protect the lake’s environment and encouraging eco-friendly practices among visitors.

This initiative reflects our commitment to protecting Azerbaijan’s natural treasures and raising awareness about the importance of responsible tourism and environmental care.

“Clean Country” Coastal Cleanup – Shuvalan Coast

As part of the nationwide “Clean Country” campaign organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Eco Diving Youth Center members took part in a shoreline cleanup on the Shuvalan coast of the Caspian Sea.

  • Location: Shuvalan coast, Caspian Sea
  • Partners: Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, local volunteers
  • Impact: Over 450 kg of waste removed from the shoreline
  • Goal: Support environmental protection, raise ecological awareness, and encourage public participation

This initiative is part of a broader series of cleanups taking place weekly in Baku and other regions during the season. Eco Diving Youth Center contributes through volunteer involvement and awareness-raising activities.

Eco Diving Youth Center organized an educational workshop for school and university students at a coastal training center in Baku. Participants explored marine ecology, the impact of pollution, and basic diving safety before joining a shallow-water cleanup.

Eco Diving Youth Center volunteers carried out an underwater cleanup along the Bilgah coast of the Caspian Sea, targeting fishing nets and plastic debris. The initiative also included awareness sessions with local beachgoers on the dangers of marine waste.
